We are proud to feature Award-Winning Chocolatier, Thomas Hass, along side our exceptional bevy of Artisan Chocolatiers. Based in Vancouver, Canada, Haas is a fourth-generation Konditormeister, or Master Pastry Chef, trained in the German tradition. He has worked in many parts of the world, including Switzerland, France and North America. In 1998, Haas worked as Executive Pastry Chef at Daniel Boulud's NYC restaurant, Daniel. He was named one of the TOP TEN Pastry Chefs in America by Chocolatier and Pastry Art and Design magazine and has been featured on Martha Stewart Living several times. In 2001, at the Valrhona National Pastry Team Championships in Los Angeles, Haas won FIRST Prize in all categories, including, Best in Chocolate and Best Overall. In 2002, The Vancouver Sun Restaurant Awards awarded Haas with BEST Chocolates. The Vancouver Magazine awarded Haas with BEST LAST COURSE for the years 2001, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06 & 07. Thomas Haas Fine Chocolates was also named one of the TOP 20 Artisan Chocolatiers in Chocolatier Magazine’s 20th anniversary issue (Feb/March 2004). Haas successfully combines world-class chocolate making with stunning presentation and style. His chocolates are made with no additives or preservatives and are paired with the freshest ingredients, including the best herbs, spices, and nuts from around the world.
